Natasa shared the journey of the garden they’re building at their LOWE property, and some photos of what it has produced so far.
“Over the past few months, my partner Pete and I have been growing our own veggies in the back of our LOWE guardianship property in Brighton. It has truly been a labour of love, from de-weeding the entire plot to rehousing the snails. We have managed to grow courgettes and runner beans, tiny carrots, onions, tomatoes and herbs, with the help of our pollinating bee friends. We paid them back with lots of delicious wild flowers.”
“Our raised beds were lovingly created by an ex-resident (Phoebe) from palette wood and adopted by us when she left. We also made a little grow box for the seedlings to keep safe until they are strong enough to be planted into bigger boxes.”
“We’ve managed to share a lot of the produce with other guardians as we have more beans than we can keep up with and new courgettes every day!”
The ingenuity of our licensees never fails to impress, and we love seeing all of the ways that LOWE guardians care for the properties they protect.
