A 2020 Update from Tim

Tim looks back on an eventful year!

Without exception, 2020 was a really challenging year for everyone, but instead of focusing on the negatives of the pandemic, I wanted to shine a light on some of the positives from this year and our achievements as a business.

First and foremost, I am so proud that we officially launched our charitable foundation, to really put social impact at the heart of everything we do as a business, in particular our Ambassador Scheme, which helps Key Workers, Placemakers and Innovators.

At the beginning of Autumn, we moved offices and launched our sister company LOWE Works, which offers no-frills, affordable co-working space, in great locations.

We have taken on some really great properties this year, and most excitingly is our new partnership with Riverside Housing Association as part of their Regenerations Programme across three large estates in South London. We have also started working with Winchester Council and we have an amazing property down there which we can’t wait to launch in 2021. We also took on our largest property, a 70-room Catholic school in South Kensington, directly opposite the Natural History Museum. We are so excited to be able to offer these amazing spaces and opportunities to our guardians.

Our team has grown, and we now have fantastic combined experience. We have particularly invested a lot into our maintenance operations, including bringing on more engineers and installing new smart software to better help serve our guardians.

Finally, on a personal level, LOWE is very much a family business – I set the company up with my wife Poppy, and in October, we were thrilled to welcome the arrival of our son.

Thank you, as ever, for your support. From my team and I, we wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Best wishes,

Tim
