Social impact is a vital part of our business practice and one of LOWE’s core values is support and involvement with the local community. The LOWE Foundation is the charitable arm of the company and we have taken a moral obligation to giving back through charitable donations, direct involvement in neighbourhood initiatives and support for key workers, placemakers and innovators, through our LOWE Ambassador programme.
CHARITABLE FOUNDATION & GIVING BACK
THE LOWE FOUNDATION
Availability of affordable housing and environmentally sustainable housing are two major issues in real estate today. As such, we have partnered with charities which look to address these matters; St. Mungo’s, LandAid and Spires Streatham. We also pursue causes that are important both to our clients and guardians, collaborating on projects and promoting valuable causes with a primary focus on local charities.
Through our Buy One Give One scheme, every property we take on (and every guardian we house) generates a donation from LOWE to one of these valuable causes. Furthermore, if our clients and guardians have a particular cause that is close to them, we’re always keen to support it!
Some of our existing guardians go the extra mile in supporting their community and so, in 2020 we introduced the LOWE Ambassador programme to recognise the amazing work they do. Our aim is to give our guardians the space and infrastructure to support them in their endeavours and to connect them with resources and each other. We offer a (minimum) 40% discount off their licence fee and a platform to advertise their projects and charitable causes, using all of LOWE’s available support channels available. Our Ambassadors are passionate guardians who are driven in their work or individual projects, and are invested in bringing together the LOWE community.
