Will // PLACEMAKER
Joint Artistic Director, Flux Theatre

Will decided to become a LOWE Guardian, when he was told on a viewing “If you’ve got imagination, you’ll love this place.” As it happens, as Artistic Director of Flux Theatre, Will has imagination in abundance. Driven by positive social impact, Flux Theatre is an acting collective, which supports up and coming artists and theatre productions. Theatre is Will’s passion; in just six years, he has built his theatre company from the ground up into one of London’s leading new-writing companies, with his specialist focus on creative marketing, PR and imaginative brand development.
Flux is a company that creates socially engaging stories. They work with charities on their shows and have created a community for creatives within the Flux Gym (a gym created for actors, directors, writers to develop work, practice and attend workshops regularly and affordably). As a LOWE Ambassador, Will is looking to bring this community to the LOWE network, as a refuge for other creative guardians looking to connect with artists, develop their work or practice their craft. With the Ambassador discount on his license fee, Will is looking to take Flux Gym to the next level, at a time that is vital for creatives to connect, collaborate, and get the community thriving again after an impossible 18-months for the arts.
Outside of the theatre, Will is currently studying for a masters to become a therapist. His aim is to acquire the skills required to bring counselling into the world of theatre as a form of therapy. He also volunteers as a mentor, tutoring recent theatre grad students from his old University, structuring his sessions around well-being, and fostering creativity outside of work. We’re also told that his banana bread is “incredible” – we’ll just have to take his word for it!
