Meet Teresa, our Maintenance Helpdesk Manager! Relaxed in moments of crisis, she is LOWE’s Mother Teresa helping our licensees in need. We managed to drag her away from her desk for 3 minutes to ask her the following…

Q: Where are you from, and where did you grow up?

A: South London born and bred. 

 

Q: As Maintenance Helpdesk Manager, what does your role entail?

A: It can entail a lot depending on the day! 

I am involved in the organisation of the maintenance team, I book them into jobs according to the needs of the property. If a property has been vandalised or squatted in, I will raise the tasks needed to get it back on its feet to the property owners. This could be cleaning, electrical rewiring, painting, re-carpeting or even a new lock on the door. 

I’m also the first point of call for any queries our licensees might have. As soon as a new job comes in, I categorise it according to priority and then organise for our maintenance team to action it as soon as possible. 

 

Q: What do you like best about working for LOWE?

A: How fast paced it is, I know it’s bizarre but I like to be under pressure, there has never been a boring day over the past 2 years! 

Brixton is a fun place to be, my commute is quite quick and the village has some fantastic cuisine.

But most importantly, the people. Everybody here is so kind, they are my second family! 

 

Q: What is something that people might not know about you

A: I speak Cantonese and Mandarin. I’m a big foodie and often bring dishes in from my parents takeaway place, I guess filling tummies runs in the family?!
